On thursday, the people of Le Mouv (the radio that invited Breakbot, me and others to do a party in Toulouse), were having some kind of a cocktail party early that evening.

It was taking place in an art gallery that’s also used as a renting space for such events.
So, out of nowhere, I had the surprise to discover an exhibition filled with artists I really like a lot, and that I’d never had the chance to see yet.
it was organised by the people of amazing FREDERIC MAGAZINE / BLOG.
The opening was the next day, on friday, but they allowed me to buy two pieces on thursday, and take them home : )
I first had my eyes caught by people like CF,

whose work I truly love (check out Powr Mastrs : so good) and others I knew from the Providence scene.
But I got to discover among others, the great work of Misaki Kawai

and Yu Matsuoka

The pieces I got were from Matt Lock (read his interview here)

and from another artist called Leon Sadler.

(I found those pics on his flickr, and his work from the show is unfortunately the one that he has pictured the less)

Toulouse is also the place where later that day we learned about MJ (during Breakbot’s set).
My good friend MusicMan told me on the phone that the first song that came to his mind was this this one, below.
It gives you shivers (and Diana Ross-whom I’ve always thought was Michael’s biggest influence- joins the dance).
