… THERE SHOULD BE DIFFERENT KINDS OF 3D MOVIES.
Private eye S.Dewaele, pictured above, was asking this :
“Who will do the Holy Mountain of 3D ? ”
Or : “What would Kubrick have done with this new toy ?”
If this becomes more and more popular, no doubt the boundaries will be pushed.
As for now, the technique is mostly used for animation,
and regarding “revolutionnary” movies such as Avatar,
well indeed it’s been taken to a next level, to a MEGA mainstream level,
but one could hope for some more experimentation.
Those who have seen the movie in french theatres mostly talk about the 3D Haribo commercial
that was preceding it,
when candies were flying toward the viewers who then tried to grab them.
