… THERE SHOULD BE DIFFERENT KINDS OF 3D MOVIES.

Private eye S.Dewaele, pictured above, was asking this :
“Who will do the Holy Mountain of 3D ? ”
Or : “What would Kubrick have done with this new toy ?”
If this becomes more and more popular, no doubt the boundaries will be pushed.
As for now, the technique is mostly used for animation,
and regarding “revolutionnary” movies such as Avatar,
well indeed it’s been taken to a next level, to a MEGA mainstream level,
but one could hope for some more experimentation.
Those who have seen the movie in french theatres mostly talk about the 3D Haribo commercial
that was preceding it,
when candies were flying toward the viewers who then tried to grab them.

Histoire de jouets 3

Saw the (3D) trailer for Toy Story 3 today.
I’m looking forward to it, among 6 or 7 other so-so 3D animation movies trailers,
this was the one really funny and exciting.
Reminds me of this great teaser they released last year :

“I started in the late nineties with my computer art.
While I was touring it gave me something to do in all those crazy hotels
you have to stay in on the road” – Ringo 2005

“Most of the titles for my pieces arrived because on computer
you have to call them something , so I have. The easy way to look at it is,
if it has a hat on – it will probably be called Hat Man” – Ringo 2005

“In its way “Pop” art is always changing – like “Pop” artists.
It’s a natural move of things like pop music and even Popeye the sailor man.” – Ringo 2005

Yer-Baby

“I like Rembrant, VanGogh, Shonberg, Condo, Nall, Max, the list is endless”- Ringo 2005

Phoenix talking about music

This is not brand new, but I hadn’t seen it before.
If you wanna spend some time listening to 4 guys with good taste
talking about their influences, this is for you.
Talking about Nico’s “Fairest* of the seasons” (which is also a personal favorite) :
